After over 16 years of experience in civil engineering, Hannes Dunkel decided to embark on the path of self-employment. He aimed to create a platform where small to medium-sized enterprises, whether from Germany or abroad, could access professional support for managing their construction projects in Germany.

“For years now, hardly any (larger) construction project in Germany or Europe has gone according to plan. The reasons for this are diverse. Often enough, it can be attributed to the immature state of planning before work begins. Typically, construction planning is only finalized during the execution phase, which frequently leads to significant subsequent changes in the scope of work. Naturally, these changes cannot be accounted for in the construction timeline or the initial cost estimation. Projects become more expensive and take longer.

The consequences are clear:

The agreed construction schedule is disrupted, additional costs arise due to changes or extra work, and extensions to the construction timeline lead to further costs for the contractor. Recognizing these claims, documenting them properly, arguing them effectively, and ultimately enforcing them—this is where many companies unfortunately fail. As a result, they often face serious liquidity problems, despite delivering high-quality and skilled work.

In some cases, I have also observed companies struggling to fully document and invoice the work they have already completed. There are certainly many reasons for this, but when it leads to liquidity issues, it is unacceptable and must be addressed as quickly as possible. Properly billing for the work performed—completely and on time—is one of the most critical tasks.

For this reason, I decided to become self-employed in this field and to support and empower companies where it is needed and desired. My goal is to help make projects more efficient, profitable, and smoother—to the benefit of clients, contractors, and the many people involved.
